Course goals	The course aims to heighten students' understanding and appreciation of poetic works.
Topics	This is a course in British and American poetry, with emphasis on the successful poems of established poets such as William Shakespeare, John Donne, William Wordsworth, S.T. Coleridge, John Keats, Robert Browning, Ezra Pound, Robert Frost, William Carlos Williams, T.S. Eliot, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Lowell, and Sylvia Plath.
