Course goals

The course Russian rhetorics is designed for MA students of russian and Literature. It aims to familiarize the course attendants with the history of rhetorics, its subject and content, trops and figures, functional styles. By this course, students are expected to know the rhetorical resource in russian language and its chinese correspondence, differences between russion and chinese in the aspects of trops and figures, to analysis the relationship between linguistic features and function of styles, to improve their ability in linguistic research.

Topics

The course encompasses 5 parts:

The history of rhetorics （3 hours）

Rhetotic meaning （6 hours）

Linguistic means, trops and figures（ 8 hours）

Rhetoric mistakes (3 hours)

Functional styles （12 hours）

Assessment

The course is assessed through one written course papers which report on individual case studies and project work🤚🏻，one test.
